Tubefreeks Bio

TubeFreeks hit hard with a brand of heavy rock built on groove, weight, and undeniable chemistry. Fronted by Paul van Valkenburgh, the band delivers a sound that fuses the raw power of classic heavy rock with the urgency and edge of modern alt-metal.

Pulling influence from giants like Black Sabbath and Alice in Chains while drawing energy from contemporary heavy and alternative bands like Korn, TubeFreeks create songs that feel massive, immediate, and alive, balancing crushing riffs, melodic hooks, and relentless drive.

Guitarists Brian Murray and George Koch shape the band’s dense, riff-forward core, while drummer Chris Badolato provides a dynamic, precise backbone that gives the songs their momentum. Byron Horgash rounds out the lineup on bass and backing vocals, adding depth and balance to a group that jams from top to bottom.

Across albums like Unhinged, The Dry Tide and Complex Disorders, TubeFreeks have refined a sound that feels refined but still raw and energetic. Recent material, including songs co-written with Clint Lowery (Sevendust), pushes that foundation forward without abandoning what makes the band work, memorable riffs, strong vocal hooks, and tasteful dynamics that comes from experience.

A seasoned live act with national touring behind them, TubeFreeks have built a loyal, multi-generational following by staying focused on what counts, creating heavy rock that moves you. Their music hits hard, grooves deep, and is built to last.
